Position Summary
Responsible for the quality and cohesion of solution architecture components within an assigned functional (Pharmacy Business Management - PBM) and technical (IBM AS/400, Synon, RPG, CL) domain and their conformance to approved Caremark IT standards and alignment with future specialty system. Analyzes assigned domain to ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions with the business goals and objectives of the supported unit. Provides technical direction and leadership to the application development teams to ensure the appropriate cost-effective application of Caremark-approved technologies. Ensures appropriate effective data integration across multiple applications. Lead, design, develop and maintain software applications critical to the operations of CVS Caremark. Incorporate peripheral knowledge of other Caremark applications and related technologies in the analysis and design of complex solutions. Oversee the application development life cycle process including estimation, design analysis and review test results to ensure adherence to quality requirements and functionality. Serve as a subject matter expert to provide benchmarked solutions to multiple complex technical projects and initiatives using multiple interlocking technologies. Solve highly technical complex problems for multiple projects and teams. Mentor Junior developers and Leads.
