Help Desk Technician
The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for assisting Pyle employees in the use of Pyle PCs, systems, printers and software. The Help Desk Technician will also will be responsible for assisting Pyle Customers in their use of Pyle s websites and web-based applications.
- Setup, configuration and installation of PC s Laptops, Printers, and software.
- Daily resolution of PC, Printer, Network, Windows, and Windows application problems
- Involvement in Windows (2000, XP, 7) Unix and network administration
- Undertaking of IT related assignments, as directed
- Respond to and resolve Help Desk phone calls and email requests
Requirements
- Associates degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent technical school training and/or experience.
- AIX/Linux experience a plus
- Must be a US Citizen or possess valid work authorization
- Trucking industry experience desirable, but not required
- Candidate must have well-grounded background and in-depth knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, 7, TCP/IP (Certifications optional). Unix administration is a plus but not required.
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working with users to understand their processes could include long periods of standing in a cross-dock environment.
- Must be able to physically handle lifting of PC s, PC monitors, and related equipment on a regular basis (50-75 lbs)
- Also must be capable of working off of ladders related to pulling of cabling across ceilings, etc.
- Some travel required (rarely overnight)
