Job Description
Key team member that will be responsible for the detailed business and process analysis within the IT Business Process Enablement Team (BPE) supporting the Human Resource (HR) department. This individual will have deep, working knowledge of HR operations and will be able to facilitate defining requirements and detailed process design. The IT HR Business Analyst will define requirements, design and document process flows, facilitate user acceptance testing and support training and user documentation activities. In addition the business analyst will guide the development and production of other project related documentation including business requirements, detailed functional designs and use cases based on the process design. The Business Analyst will use the following techniques and tools to ensure completion of all the analyst deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints:
Required Skills
* Use proven requirements gathering techniques that enable the identification of accurate and well defined business requirements.
* Use key process and analysis tools to capture and define existing work processes, and then conducting process analysis and follow on process enablement.
* Assist in the development of Business Cases, cost benefit analysis, and initial project funding estimates.
* Be able to capture unique, detailed, and complex requirement in written form using existing Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and PEM (Process Enablement Management) methodologies.
* Be able to effectively use MS Office products (Visio, Word, PowerPoint) to develop and communicate business design requirements, standard operating procedures and training materials.
* Partner effectively with the HR team and BPE HR Process Manager to define the short and long-term process and application requirements critical to supporting our HR and company growth strategy.
* Develop detailed functional design specifications that include process flows, screen layouts, report formats along with the supporting business logic required to implement the business requirements
* Apply the Process Enablement Methodology in conjunction with the Systems Development Methodology to the analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into process improvements and system specifications. This would include the following deliverables:

Business and functional requirements; use cases; process and data flow diagrams

RFPs / RFIs and vendor scorecards
*
Meeting agendas and minutes
*
Issue Logs
*
User Acceptance Test scenarios, cases and test scripts
*
Training and change management materials
* Conduct application demonstrations and training for the end-user community
Required Experience
* 5 to 7 years Information Technology experience with demonstrated process enablement and business design experience and 2+ years retail operations experience
* Hands on package experience with Lawson is preferred.
* Package experience with other HRIS solutions (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
* Direct HR operational/business experience is a significant plus
* Experience working in a fast-paced, growth environment
* Familiarity with process analysis tools/methodologies such as Six Sigma is a plus
* Highly motivated, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
* BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related degree.
* General understanding of Merchandise Management (Pricing, Inventory, Order, Purchasing), Distribution Operations and Store Operations is a plus
* Demonstrated ability participating in and delivering multi-million dollar projects.
* Goal oriented, action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined.
* Demonstrated understanding of the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing I.T. solutions.
* Working knowledge of one or more of the following: RUP, Rational Rose, UML, Quality Center or other business process mapping tools,
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the enterprise including senior-level executives, business users, and developers.
* General understanding of Organizational Change Management concepts
* Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Superb problem solving and organizational skills.
* Expertise with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project and Visio.
