Job Summary:

Our chosen candidate will perform a variety of highly skilled and specialized duties that will include, but not be limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and design manufacturing processes and production work flow
  • Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures
  • Design assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment
  • Prepare labor estimates and tooling / equipment estimates for proposals
  • Conduct test and or analyze new manufacturing methods, materials, processes or standards
  • Compile and evaluate test and production data and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Conceive and plan projects involving major production activities, exploration of product and / or process problems
  • Coordinate technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering change notices, rework and manufacturing specifications
  • Perform projects to eliminate defects and reduce costs
  • Perform Design for Manufacturability studies with Product Design
  • Ensure work instructions are complete and accurate. Verifies preventive action(s) are effective.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure contract requirements are being incorporated and can be verified through design, qualification, inspection, software, or test.
  • Support production activities.
  • Other Duties as required.

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):


Requires BS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar position desired.


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio. Must have Excel skills for cost and data analysis and Microsoft Project experience. Familiarity with solid modeling software (i.e. Solid Edge/SolidWorks) 3D model and 2D drawing creation. CAD design of parts, tooling, molds and fixtures.


Ability to understand and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Toleranceing.


Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Work Location: Waldorf, MD
