Nammo Composite Solutions, owned by Nammo Talley, Inc. is an engineering and composite manufacturing company with more than 20 years of operation. Our facility is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer II to be responsible for the process design, operation and implementation. The successful candidate will be able to improve manufacturing processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability, using lean manufacturing strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads and directs the monitoring and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes to maintain product yields and quality. Develop factory SPC and Lean initiatives. Utilization of an array of continuous improvement tools and general statistical analysis methods will be required.

Develop and document process operational standards, including identification and deployment of statistical process control opportunities

Analyze workflows within and across all work cells to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; recommend solutions to overcome these issues

Develop assembly process flow, layout concepts, equipment specifications, role developments, work instructions, standards, improvement activities, etc.

Defines problem and opportunities in quantitative terms. Gather and analyze data to evaluate alternate courses of action to improve processes. Recommend and justify process improvement solutions. Assist managers and work with supervisory staff to implement process changes throughout the operation.

Develops work and performance measurements. Devise and implement control systems to collect and analyze data, establish standards for performance and develop tools for measuring performance to control deviation from standards.

Work with operations, engineering, QA, maintenance, suppliers and management to resolve problems

Provides technical leadership to technicians, lower level engineers, and operators.

Supports supervisors in training manufacturing personnel on manufacturing process.

Will perform other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

Minimum of a BS Degree in relevant discipline

Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Black Belt preferred

5+ years experience in process engineering required

Composites experience preferred

Proficiency with data analysis and statistics required

Excellent working knowledge of all MS Suite products.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and mathematical concepts related to the manufacturing process.

This role required punctuality, good attendance and the ability to focus on the work at hand during sometimes stressful situations and times with there are multiple priorities.

Experience with NADCAP and/or AS9100 certified processes is a plus
