Position Summary

Responsible for designing, implementing and installing web applications into the production environment. Provides web application support to business units.

Essential Requirements

Works with project manager and business units to establish requirements and scope of application

Assists project manager in identifying project tasks and creating a thorough project plan

Works directly with vendors to resolve issues

Works with business unit and other team members to create use cases

Develops or configures interfaces between GUI and non-GUI systems

Performs QA testing and communicates requirements with business unit

Implements and installs applications into the production environment

Provides application support to meet SLA metrics

Works directly with end users to troubleshoot issues

Expected to drive projects through-out the development life cycle

Expected to understand multiple interfaces and underlying data

Understands and communicates environment requirements (hardware, software and network) to business units

Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position

Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements

Experience/Skills

Three (3) to five (5) years experience preferred in web based applications development and programming

Bachelors degree preferred in an IT related field

Prefer senior level developer experience in at least two major languages: (i.e., ColdFusion, Java, Javascript, ASP.Net (VB or C++ or C#), XML, HTML, MS SQL (2000, 2005 & 2008), development & administration, Microsoft OS (Windows 2003 & 2008 Server) and IIS)

General knowledge of TCP/IP communications

General troubleshooting skills

Software installation and configuration experience preferred with third party applications

Quality & security oriented

Ability to practice secure coding (i.e. OWASP)

Ability to act as Senior Web Based Application Lead (Internal & External)

Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential

Ability and willingness to quickly learn new applications and languages and adapt to a changing environment

Strong communication skills and resourcefulness

Intrinsically motivated and task oriented in a team environment

End user empathetic and driven
