Job Summary:

We are seeking an Electronic Test Technician for electronic equipment preparation,set-up and test execution. Individual must understand and apply instrumentation technology with data acquisition and data reduction skills. Individual will be responsible for executing test methods and services for obtaining accurate data and analysis using independent judgment, discretionand initiative. Testing includes working with energetic devices.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Set up instrumentation equipment (computers, amplifiers,signal conditioner, Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems, etc.) to conduct tests and record data.
  • Conduct calibration of test equipment (such as pressure transducers, load cells, strain gauges, accelerometers).
  • Assist other Technicians and Engineers in test set-up and support.
  • Record test data in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Communicate information (written and oral) in a clear andconcise way.
  • Confer with Test Engineer to resolve test requirements.
  • Design, weld, and machine hardware under engineeringdirection.
  • Operate high speed digital video cameras as backup.
  • Soldering, electronic wiring, bonding, and general R&D laboratory skills.
  • Understand, interpret, and implement technical drawings,specifications, and procedures.
  • Operate computers using microsoft and DAQ software.
  • Reduce test data as needed by engineering.
  • Fabricate mounting/holding fixtures to test items.
  • Conduct firing count down and activates firing sequence to conduct test.
  • Complete and provide test item records to Test Engineer.
  • Clean-up after testing and check for damage to equipment; make repairs.
  • Perform data analysis on production and development tests aswell as provide administrative support for the Test Department. These duties include:
  • Perform velocity reduction on weapons programs and other dynamic type tests.
  • Maintain paper and electronic records.
  • Archive files for production and development programs as required by Quality Department.
  • Scan production lot acceptance test results into quality data folder.


Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):
  • Associates degree in a technical field or High School or general education diploma (GED) with hands-on work experience in Mechanical,Electrical, or Physics field.
  • 2-4 years of relatedexperience.
  • Knowledge of Data Acquisition Software - HBM: Genesis Perception; Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Display a positive attitude.
  • Work effectively with individuals from diverse backgroundand skills.
  • Demonstrate team building attributes. Treat everyone as avalued customer.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, andvolume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry andtrigonometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry outinstructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concretevariables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products.
  • Driving background checks required.
