Characteristicsof Position:

This is professionalwork developing, coordinating and implementing information technology needs fora human services agency. A portion oftime is devoted to training employees as to the use and regulations of using anautomated data system. This is a full time position located in Tampa, FL.

Pre-requisiteRequirements:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Management Information Systems or related field and three years ofprogressively responsible professional experience in MIS or other relatedfield.

  • Excellentknowledge of information technology general controls, data and cyber security,and computer hardware/software systems.

  • Strongorganizational ability, analytical skills, and verbal/written communicationskills.

  • Abilityto work with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Scope of Responsibilities:Development, implementation,and oversight of the Agency's information technology needs.

Supervision: Thisposition reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Supervision isprovided to the Help Desk Support position.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Plansworkloads, workflows, deadlines, objectives and time utilization relating tocomputer system.

  • Trainsemployees in methods of performing effective and efficient computer operations.

  • Communicatesregularly with employees both individually and in meetings.

  • Securesand solidifies sufficient consultation and support to ensure security andviability of agency hardware and software.

  • Maintain/oversees Local Area Network and Wide AreaNetwork structure

  • Manageservers and server based applications

  • Maintain/Oversees Computer equipment inventory

  • Manageand oversee helpdesk system

  • Directsthe work of MIS consultants to insure maximum use of time and resources.

  • Responsiblefor the daily backup of the computer system, adding new users, trouble

    Shooting software applications, producereports, and search for new software.

  • Coordinatesefforts with outside MIS sources.

  • Developsand implements agency wide policies concerning information technology.

  • Responsiblefor updates on software and system security.

  • Participatesin the development of management reports.

  • Secures,implements and maintains wide-area network technology including VOIP.

  • Overseesthe copiers

  • Overseesthe agency devices including computers, laptops, and cell phones

  • Troubleshoots various software and hardware problems for users.

  • Responsiblefor on-going development enhancements of system.

  • Serveras technical lead or project manager for system implementation projects.

  • Providesconsultation and technical assistance to personnel.

  • Developsdesk procedures that ensure all information system components/modules areunderstood and used to their fullest extent within the agency.

  • Practiceson-the-job safety at all times.

  • Attendsall required / assigned training.

  • Participatesin the Agency's Quality Improvement Program as assigned.

  • Performsrelated work as assigned / required.
