The CANES group of the University Technology Office is seeking a qualified candidate for a Server Administrator Sr. level position to assist with management of the ASU enterprise server environment.
Depends on experience
Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting the infrastructure and application layers related to the deployment of applications in an enterprise environment.
Responsible for maintaining system security, identifying and correcting security related incidents, and establishing processes and procedures to enhance system security, where appropriate.
Candidate will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation cycle.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely related field AND six (6) years experience in server/network administration; virtual network; server security administration, OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Experience supporting Windows 2016/2019 operating systems in production environments
Experience working with virtualization hypervisor technologies
Experience designing the infrastructure for and supporting Windows Active Directory, Windows 2016/2019
Experience with cloud environments mainly Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience in building/designing/deploying/managing systems or applications in AWS
Experience with scripting and automation of tasks and/or services
SQL 2017 experience including installation, configuration of the infrastructure environments for Database Administrators
Experience in deployment of servers via Hypervisor, Nutanix AHV is preferred
Experience in DNS, network protocol troubleshooting
Experience in documentation for the team
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking.
Frequent physical demands may include working in cramped and close surroundings subject to exposure to electrical connections.
Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to 50 pounds.
Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties.
Regular review of completed tasks.
