Clinical Support Specialist

Join the Coram CVS/specialty infusion services team as a Clinical Support Specialist - Nurse Scheduler. Working for an industry leader and the largest home infusion organization you play an integral role in delivering cost effective and high-quality solutions for our patients... Key responsibilities * Manage master schedule for nurses determining optimal staffing coverage for full-time, per diem and agency nurses. * Retrieve nursing reports and on-call messages daily, data entry of nursing notes and other related duties as directed by the supervisor. * Document all patient communication, assembling and maintaining patient clinical charts. * Gather information for initial admission packets for new patients; review all new charts to ensure necessary nursing paperwork is included, tracking and timely retrieval of signed Plan of Treatments and nursing orders, * Obtain required co-signatures from a nurse or pharmacist; initiating discharge summaries, discharging patient therapies in the system. * Manage master schedule for nurses determining optimal staffing coverage for full-time, per diem and agency nurses. * Track visit corrections and notify the primary nurse case manager of patient therapy changes or nursing orders. * Verify daily nursing visits and coordinate changes in scheduled visits.
? Minimum one year of related experience in coordinating activities, administrative support functions, and customer service. Experience as a nursing assistant, pharmacy technician, home patient representative, or customer service representative preferred.
? Effective verbal and written communications skills.
? Excellent detail orientation and time management skills.
? Proficiency with Microsoft business software.
1 year of scheduling experience.
? Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma; some college preferred.
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
