Job Description
The IT Project Specialist (EPIC Software) is responsible for the overall execution of clinical IT integration to strategic affiliations, business partners and Enterprise integration opportunities. The IT Project Specialist will provide leadership direction, define project scope, identify scalable solutions, execute build, and manage project deliverables to ensure successful implementations for health system connectivity. This role works collaboratively with both technical and business oriented project team members to support Health Information management solutions for CVS Health nationwide.

As the Project Specialist (Epic Software) you will:
· Collaborate with project team, analysts, and specialists to provide technology solutions that meet business objectives
· Collaborate with team leads, functional Advisors and project support staff (Architects, DBAs, etc.), to maintain project schedules
· Responsible for managing relationships with business customers, during the life cycle of the project
· Responsible for executing all phases of the project life cycle
· Deliver high quality project work that satisfies the project’s business case and meet end users expectations
· Assist project team, analysts, and specialists for high quality deliverable completion
· Assist with Epic configuration and solution definition
· Triage, manage, communicate and resolve issues

Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of healthcare IT professional, related experience preferred
· 3+ years of Epic software experience
· 3+ years Project management experience, preferably in vendor supported application implementation (planning, requirements definition, design, build, and deployment)
· 5+ years in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint)
· 1+ years experience with ambulatory health or hospital electronic health records, clinical, ancillary systems, and administrative systems

Preferred Qualifications
· 3-5+ years of healthcare IT professional, related experience preferred
· Epic experience or certification in Epic preferred.
· Project management experience and business planning across the full project life cycle (discovery, requirements definition, design, build, and deployment)
· Experience working in an IT customer service atmosphere
· Must be able to identify, assess and resolve complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
· Ability to work with the business users, understand their needs and translate those needs to the final project deliverables
· Ability to execute all phases of the project life cycle
· Ability to create and deliver project artifacts (such as project plans, status reports, requirements documentation, and test plans)
· Understanding of software development methodologies such as SCRUM, Waterfall, SDLC preferred
· Experience using planning and estimation software such as Microsoft Project
· Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong presentation skills
· Experience working in an IT customer service atmosphere

Education
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in related discipline, with information technology focus, or comparable experience in lieu of degree
