Lead Software Engineer, MR Visualization sought by GE Precision Healthcare LLC for Waukesha, WI location to be responsible for the development of systems software within the P&L. Develop distributed software applications for real-time critical motion control of subsystems. Work closely with systems teams in requirements gathering and software design. Interact with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms. Position requires a Bachelor's deg, or foreign deg equiv, in Comp Sci, Electrical Eng or rel comp field, & 5 yrs progressively responsible post-Bach's exp in rel software development position or rel occup in rel healthcare industry. Alternatively, a PhD deg, or foreign deg equiv, in Comp Sci, Electrical Eng or rel comp field, & 2 yrs exp in rel software development position or rel occup in rel healthcare industry is acceptable. Position also requires: 2 yrs exp developing software for complex systems or computerized products; 2 yrs exp in C/C++ and/or Java programming; 2 yrs Medical Industry experience in the field of Medical Imaging & Visualization application/algorithm development; 2 yrs exp in basic image processing algorithms & data structures; 2 yrs exp in 2D/3D graphics; 6 mths exp w/ visualization algorithms such as OpenGL programming; 2 yrs exp in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and Programming (OOP) concepts & Unified Modeling Language (UML); & 2 yrs exp w/ industry software development practices, tools and environments, incl: Software development lifecycle from requirements to system integration; Configuration Management systems/tools: ClearCase, CVS or equiv; Defect tracking tools and processes, concepts, & tools: DDTS or Clear-Quest or equiv; Debuggers - concepts and tools: gdb, ddd, totalview or equiv; & Software Builds concepts and tools: Imake/make or equivalent.
