What will I be doing?

Do you love project management and have experience with design and construction projects? As the Senior Project Manager, you will put these skills to use by handling design and construction projects for one or more of the Hilton brands in the Southwest region. This role will utilize your interpersonal, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills. Interested? Read on!

More specifically, you will:

    -Provide project management for new development/ground up projects, adaptive reuse projects, conversions, room additions, and brand change projects. Will provide technical guidance and services, carry out design and construction standards, and monitor construction activities for all Focused Service hotel projects. This includes reviewing architectural and engineering documents and conducting a minimum of three (3) on-site construction inspections for each hotel.
    -Review hotel site plans as part of the franchise approval process for new hotels to ensure that the proposed site will support the proposed hotel in compliance with Hilton standards and prototype drawings.
    -Contact hotel owner at beginning of the project. Conduct kick-off/pre-design meeting/webinar/conference call with the franchisee and architect. Set expectations for owner and explain the Hilton A&C role. Explain brand standards and prototype drawings.
    -Review schematic plans (25%), design development (50%), final documents (100%) and specifications in detail to ensure compliance. Address concerns immediately and provide detailed written correspondence to the franchisee and architect, explaining the non-complying issues and presenting solutions. Conduct meetings, conference calls, and webinars as needed to explain all requirements to franchisee, architect, and other project team members.
    -Review construction submittals and shop drawings and visit the project during construction to confirm compliance with brand standards and prototype documents and the approved plans submitted to Hilton.
    -Continually update all project data in corporate tracking system (O2O). Provide accurate information including, but not limited to, forecasted construction start and hotel opening dates for senior management forecasting purposes.
    -Review and propose revisions to standards and prototype drawings.
    -Assist, on occasion, the PIP team with evaluating properties during the Property Improvement Plan (PIP) phase to determine feasibility (i.e. reviewing or preparing preliminary sketches for commercial areas, guestrooms, exterior design, etc. prior to issuing the PIP).
What are we looking for?

We believe success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

    -Outstanding written and verbal communication and track record of negotiating while maintaining professional integrity

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

    -Seven (7) years of experience in Architecture and Construction
    -Four (4) years of project management experience
    -Travel - as needed

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

    -BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design or Construction
    -Ten (10) years of experience in Architecture and Construction
    -Five (5) years of experience with the design and construction of Hospitality (hotel) projects
    -Licenses or Certificates in Architecture and/or
    -Engineering Experience with Blue Beam
    -Preference for candidates based in southwest region or Memphis, TN
