    Progress Residential has a national footprint with our executive office located in Dallas, Texas, our corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona and market offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Memphis, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, Sarasota, and Tampa.

    This position will be located at the Corporate Office in Scottsdale, AZ. This position does not allow remote working nor telecommuting.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The successful candidate will be able design and build data and analytics solutions, data warehouse solutions, and data pipelines (ETL/ELT), and will collaborate with the data team, software developers and various business stake holders to build solutions which deliver data securely to internal data consumers. This position is part of a team that is implementing a technology platform conversion and the selected candidate will play a key role in architecting that transformation.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Architects, designs and builds data warehouse solutions
    • Develops, tests and maintains data pipelines using SQL, Python and/or ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica)
    • Develops routines for cleansing and harmonization of data from a variety of data sources
    • Builds solutions that incorporates both structured (i.e., relational) and semi-structured (e.g., JSON, etc.) data
    • Collaborates with software developers (e.g., Salesforce), business intelligence developers to build data pipelines, database schemas, and aggregation processes that makes data available and suitable for analytics
    • Maintains and supports the data warehouse environment and optimizes it for high performance, secures data access and protection of sensitive data
    • Designs alerts and tests to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data pipelines
    • Works with all types of data ingestion patterns – Real Time, Near Real Time, and Batch
    • Develops and maintains scalable, sustainable quality assurance practices to ensure high quality and reliable data
    • Optimizes end-to-end performance of data pipelines
    • Performs root cause analysis for ETL/ELT job failures/data issues raised by business

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least five (5) years’ experience:
      • Using SQL in a cloud platform
      • Developing, deploying and supporting high-quality, fault-tolerant data pipelines
      • Employing ETL/ELT Tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage etc.)
      • Designing, building and maintaining cloud-based data warehouse solutions to support both structured and semi-structured data sources
    • At least three (3) years’ experience:
    • Designing solutions built for high-scalability and high-availability
    • Working with data warehouse platforms like (e.g., Snowflake, Azure etc.)
    • At least two (2) years’ experience with general scripting languages (e.g., Python) and programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, etc.)
    • Experience building data pipelines using advanced T-SQL skills or dedicated ETL/ELT tools
    • Strong technical knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization on large data sets
    • Solid understanding of data analysis, business intelligence reporting and visualization techniques and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
    • Well-developed written communication skills (e.g., code documentation, work and process flow charting, etc.)
    • Conceptual understanding of agile development methodologies

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience with:
    • Snowflake cloud architecture
    • Salesforce & Yardi software applications
    • Azure data service and products a plus (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake Analytics, Analysis services, Azure stream analytics, etc.)
