    Food Services of America is currently looking for a District Sales Representative in the Portland Metro area to join our expanding team. As a fast-growing foodservice distributor, Food Services of America treats our customers as the boss and our Associates as our most important resource. Our growth provides Associates opportunities to drive their career.

    The District Sales Representative will manage assigned territory sales and gross profit to plan, control expense and receivables to plan, develop territory with proven superior sales service through increasing account penetration of existing customers and selling and developing new customers according to territory plans, introduce new products and services, support marketing plan and promotions, attend and contribute to general and district sales meetings, effectively utilize support resources to achieve objectives, represent company in a professional manner in all activities and actions.

    This position is located in Portland Metro, candidates must reside in that area or be willing to relocate.


    This position reports directly to the Territory Sales Manager. The Sales Associate works with the Territory Sales Manager and other sales leadership in the planning and execution of the territory plan to achieve standards of performance.

    • Territory Sales and Gross Profit Plan
    • Execution of Territory Plan
    • DSO and expense control within territory
    • Supporting Prime Vendor programs
    • Knowledge of the marketing area and competition
    • Recommending new products and services
    • Participation in all Sales meetings and training and development programs
    • Helping the customer to increase profit

    Performance Standards

    • Sales Actual versus Plan
    • Gross Profit $ Actual versus Plan
    • Gross Profit % Actual versus Plan
    • DSO and Receivables within Territory
    • Execution of Territory Plan
    • Increase case Sales Year over Year


    • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or the equivalent in industry experience
    • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma
    • A minimum of 2 years of previous broadline food service sales experience
    • Successful track record in building a sales territory in the food service industry
    • Excellent communication, analytical and computation skills
    • Professional appearance
    • Computer literate and embrace new technology

    • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and required insurance

    • Ability to pass background investigation and drug test

    • Requires significant local travel to current and prospective customers
