Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, installation, and debugging of mechanical components and equipment throughout US Cotton. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for following safety procedures, quality procedures, improving overall processes and related issues, including process development, process documentation, and problem-solving.
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs engineering projects at US Cotton.
2. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, product design, materials, tooling and production equipment capabilities.
3. Installation and debug of tooling and capital equipment.
4. Responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required.
5. Works with US Cotton vendors to improve components specifications used in the manufacturing of product.
6. Use SPC techniques to improve and control productivities and other activities related to production. Analyzes and plans workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
 

REQUIREMENTS:
 
* Four-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably with a concentration in a field related to manufacturing.
* Prior experience 2 to 5 years is strongly preferred.
* Tooling systems and machining knowledge.
* PLC programming experience.
* AutoCAD or equivalent CAD program
* Microsoft Project
* Knowledge of SPC methodology
