|Working Title||Broadcast Technology Tech|
New Mexico PBS/KNME-TV, a department of the University of New Mexico, is seeking a broadcast technician to join our engineering team. Under general supervision, this position provides technical assistance to RF transmission and studio broadcast technology technicians. Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs broadcast studio, satellite transmit/receive, and transmission systems and equipment. This position assists with performing functional and operational testing procedures to ensure quality reception and transmission of television broadcast products. This position will also assist the senior broadcast technology technicians with maintaining documentation in compliance with Federal Communication Commission rules and regulations. This position has an expectation of being available on an on-call basis in the event of equipment malfunction requiring emergency repairs. As this position will be assisting the RF team, requires the ability to climb towers up to 180' ft using best safety practices. Tower climbing safety training will be provided.

|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
|Additional Requirements||This position includes exposure to high altitudes and extreme temperatures related to outdoor environments.|
