The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The CDD is seeking a sharp, organized individual to join the Database and Web Applications team as a Programmer Analyst 1. The work will focus on creation and maintenance of outward facing website applications tailored to the various CDD programs. The right candidate will be committed to providing an excellent presentation of the CDD to the digital world to share information regarding training resources and to provide dissemination of information while ensuring that those the CDD ultimately supports feel welcome when using the website.
Specific job responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of WordPress applications according to defined requirements to meet program specific business objectives.
- Creation and maintenance of web content using the Cascade Content Management System.
- Development of systems to manage digital resources including the documentation of processes and end user training.
- Analysis of web content for adherence to the standards set forth in the Website Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) and subsequent modification of the website.
- Collaboratively work with teams to develop desired website content and functionality based on criteria defined within contracts.
- Creation of forms and documents to be used by members of the CDD staff and external users for data collection and informational purposes.

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
