|Working Title||Turf Tech|
The University of New Mexico Gallup Campus, Physical Plant & Facilities Department is seeking applications for an experienced Turf Tech.
The Turf Tech performs routine grounds maintenance that may include watering, raking, mowing, weeding, planting, and trash/litter removal. Operates UNM-owned vehicles to perform duties inclusive of the North Campus. Operates grounds equipment/machines and ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Snow removal as required, may perform general maintenance and custodial tasks.
The position involves extensive physical activity; requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds, which require following basic safety precautions. Majority of the work is performed outside and in all types of weather. Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

|Pay||$9.00 To $12.05 Hourly|
