Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) provides technology services for Wells Fargo's customers and lines of business. EIT is responsible for the company's hardware and software, network, and other technology infrastructure. Wholesale Banking Technology is seeking an application developer with strong background in Java/JEE application development, design and support. The environment is a distributed J2EE Application including enterprise content management and integration with enterprise-wide systems. This position will be a part of a high performing team working on a new lending platform. Provides technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs. Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions. Develops original and/or complex code or provides coding guidance to less experienced staff. Leads and/or performs modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing. Leads the migration of applications to production. Develops new documentation, participates in the development of department technical procedures and designs user guides. As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Other Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of Spring experience
- 2+ years of XML (Extensible Markup Language) experience
- 1+ year of financial services experience
- Knowledge of automated build/deployments and continuous integration of java based web applications such as: SVN, Anthill, Github, Jenkins, uDeploy, etc.
