Work hours of this position are: CST Time Zone 8 AM to 5 PM, EST Time Zone hours are 9 AM to 6 PM,  For MST Time Zone hours are 7 AM to 4 PM. This position resides with the Systems Management and Consulting (SMC) team within Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Technology which supports Wells Fargo credit card  (plastics) processing for third party provider First Data (FDR).  We consult and coordinate with our internal partners to successfully manage the FDR system activities for a wide variety of Wells Fargo credit card offerings. 

SMC is seeking a qualified, highly-motivated and results-oriented individual for our senior Systems Support Analyst position.  This position requires deep understanding of FDR (First Data / Fiserve) credit card (plastics) issuance, account setup, maintenance, authorization parameters and risk rules and is not specific to Merchant Services side of the house.  

The ideal candidate should be a proven, flexible self-starter, able to function effectively in an environment that is fast-paced, data-and-process-driven, with set deadlines to meet.  They must possess skillful service orientation and attitude. 

This position is responsible for all aspects of assigned First Data (FDR) applications / skill blocks which include:  

  • Consulting with business partners on FDR system functionality and process improvement efforts;
  1.  Supporting Line-of-Business-specific FDR system development efforts, and coordinating / managing all associated activities  
  2.  Active participation in larger project teams within the different business lines supported including coordination/management of First Data Resources  development requests specific to Wells Fargo   
  • Consulting with business partners to clarify project-specific objectives, to identify and define project requirements, timelines and participation in discovery efforts for potential future projects   
  • Partnering with business lines to provide technical direction in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are efficient and meet the business requirements    
  • Working with business partners to resolve system production issues, questions, assess business needs and provide recommendations including documenting work in various tracking applications, and meeting all associated deadlines

Broadly, this position provides technical systems support within a technology organization. Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following: provides support for highly complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services related to / involving First Data; uses/creates diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to FDR systems; monitors FDR compliance with contract service level agreement criteria, identifies gaps in current technology process and recommends changes to assure SLAs can be supported; performs migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations; may evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune FDR systems supported; collaborates with FDR, if needed, to completes project sizing; updates/writes documentation and procedures and provides related training; troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues and coordinates resolution with users, vendors and internal service groups; writes/designs test scripts; creates change or issue logs; analyzes performance trends and recommends process improvements; assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; updates, creates and tests the business continuation plan; may provide guidance to less experienced analysts.

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: 1525 W W T Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC; 7000 Vista Dr. West Des Moines, IA; 2600 South Price Rd. Chandler, AZ; 255 2nd Ave South Minneapolis, MN; 101 N Independence Mall E, Philadelphia, PA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. 
 



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems support analysis experience
  • 2+ years of client relationship management experience
  • 1+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners
  • 2+ years of First Data Resources (FDR) experience



Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of credit card industry experience
  • Experience managing communications and documentation projects
  • Retail services operations experience
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo TSYS Credit Card System
  • Knowledge and understanding of business systems production issue resolution
  • Knowledge and understanding of credit card processes and systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology production support: fast paced dynamic customer facing application which requires high availability
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • 1+ year of PAC2000 experience
  • 1+ year of PAC2000 Change Management experience
  • Production support experience in a financial services company
  • Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
  • Experience responding to customer questions and concerns with detailed information
  • Third party service provider risk experience
  • Strong knowledge of technology with emphasis on the following: development operations, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), (including quality assurance, problem and incident management, configuration management, application infrastructure services (e.g. middleware), platform management, information security architecture, IAM (identity and access management), enterprise architecture, cloud, third party hosted solutions, application risk assessments, information management, enterprise data, CRM services, and books and records)



Other Desired Qualifications

Experience with TSYS credit card system outside of Wells Fargo
Strong understanding of FDR back-end codes and parameters
 



Job Expectations

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
