It’s an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargo’s Enterprise Functions Technology - Home Lending Data Services Technology team. This position will help shape and transform Wells Fargo’s enterprise data landscape. Home Lending Data Technology is looking for an Application Programmer Analyst (APA) to be responsible for technical advancements for Data Management capabilities and related applications.  This position will be heavily engaged with agile and be expected to operate fluently within both agile and waterfall-based teams and processes.  This individual must be able to handle multiple ongoing projects/tasks and possess a strong combination of analytical, assessment, organizational and technical skills; he/she must be capable of working successfully with a wide variety of stakeholders such as business product owners, application owners, scrum masters, agile coaches, architects, developers, testers, and others in a highly distributed environment.  This position will work closely with both the technology and business groups to coordinate sizing for incoming work, manage small base efforts, groom product backlogs and drive continuous velocity improvement for the team.

Provides technical support and basic development for computer applications and programs. Uses diagnostic tools and/or analyzes and uses vendor specifications to troubleshoot complex computer application problems to maintain or restore service or data to programs, leads the resolution of complex issues or escalates as needed to meet established service level agreements. Completes required logs and reports. Prepares programming specifications and completes programming tasks to develop basic, and/or assist in the development of moderately complex, computer solutions. Performs modeling, simulations and analysis. Prepares program test data, tests and debugs programs. Updates and completes documentation, procedures and user guides. Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and analyzes changes for risk to the environment. Participates in testing and updating the business continuation plan. Provides assistance and guidance to less experienced staff.



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 2+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 1+ year of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) programming experience
  • 1+ year of Autosys experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 1+ year of Ab Initio experience
  • 2+ years of UNIX experience
  • 2+ years of Linux experience
  • 1+ year of Agile experience
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as VersionOne and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • 2+ years of Java experience
  • 1+ year of JSP (JavaServer Pages) experience
  • 2 + years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI or Angular JS)
  • 1 + years of experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • 2+ years of offshore application development process experience
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Strong technical and quantitative skills
  • Strong root cause analysis skills
  • Agile Certification
